This brown stoneware mug has a matte white glaze that went a little globby and weird. But hey, nobody's perfect, so we decided to accentuate those flaws rather than try to hide them. The slimey goop lines were hand painted with real gold. Think about it like a kind of kintsugi. Everybody loves kintsugi. All my mugs are made using hand building techniques (no electric wheels here!) which means sometimes the shape is a bit wonky, or the surface has some dimpling. I like to think you can see my hands in the process.
Not dishwasher or microwave safe (blame the gold!).
